Course Overview:
Whether you are designing object-oriented applications or planning a project deployment, UML can help you better visualize the process and communicate design requirements to those involved in the project. In this course you will create UML Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, and Sequence Diagrams. You will create UML Class, Object and Package diagrams and use them show composite structures and component diagrams. You will also create State Machine and Deployment diagrams.
ATTENTION: This course has a strict start and end date. When a student enrolls into this course, they will need to work with one of our Training Assessment Managers (TAMs) to choose a start date before they can be enrolled in their course.
Course Outline:
- Students will identify the uses of UML and design Use Case diagrams.
- Students will use UML to create Activity Diagrams.
- Students will create Class and Object Diagrams.
- Students will create UML Sequence, Communication and Timing diagrams.
- Students will create UML Composite and Component Diagrams.
- Students will create UML State Machine and Deployment Diagrams.
- Students will create a final project using what they learned in the course.
All necessary materials are included.

- Cable, Fiber, DSL, or LEO Satellite (i.e. Starlink) internet with speeds of at least 10mb/sec download and 5mb/sec upload are recommended for the best experience.
NOTE: While cellular hotspots may allow access to our courses, users may experience connectivity issues by trying to access our learning management system. This is due to the potential high download and upload latency of cellular connections. Therefore, it is not recommended that students use a cellular hotspot as their primary way of accessing their courses.
