Course Overview:

Students will use QuarkXPress to create documents for publication. In this course students will add text and format text to their documents, add table data, and include pictures. Students will create Master Pages, manage color and work with long documents and the collaboration features.

Course Outline:

  • Students will explore the QuarkXPress environment and familiarize themselves with the tools QuarkXpress offers.
  • Students will add text to their QuarkXPress documents.
  • Students will format text in their QuarkXPress documents.
  • Students will add and format tables in their QuarkXPress documents.
  • Students will add pictures to their QuarkXPress documents.
  • Students will create master pages and libraries for their QuarkXPress documents.
  • Students will work with lines, colors and bezier curves in their QuarkXpress documents.
  • Students will explore the QuarkXpress printing options.
  • Students will explore the features for working with long documents and printing.
  • Students will create a final project using what they learned in this class.
