Course Overview:

Students will use Visual Studio to develop graphical applications using the Visual C++ programming language.

Course Outline:

  • Students will create and debug their first Visual C++ application in Visual Studio
  • Students will create a basic C++ program that uses variables, loops and arrays.
  • Students will break their C++ programs into functions.
  • Students will use structures and classes in their C++ programs.
  • Students will create new classes derived from existing classes in their C++ programs.
  • Students will create a Windows application that contains Menus and Toolbars.
  • Students will write a C++ Windows application to create and edit a drawing.
  • Students will create C++ Windows applications that use dialog boxes and controls.
  • Students will write C++ Windows applications that connect to a data source and display data.
  • Students will create a final project to show what they have learned.
