Course Overview:

Parents, teachers and other that work children will learn to use Positive Discipline to encourage self-respect, self-discipline, cooperation, good behavior and problem-solving skills in their children. Topics to be covered include how to create natural and logical consequences, how to effectively encourage children and the four mistaken goals of behavior.

ATTENTION: This course has a strict start and end date.  When a student enrolls into this course, they will need to work with one of our Training Assessment Managers (TAMs) to choose a start date before they can be enrolled in their course.

Course Outline:

• Students will identify their parenting challenges and discuss their parenting goals.
• Students will identify the terminology associated with Positive Parenting.
• Students will identify the reasons why children behave the way they do.
• Students will identify ways they can apply natural and logical consequences.
• Students will encourage their children effectively.
• Students will create an agenda for family meetings.
• Students will reflect on what they have learned and how they can apply it to their family.

All necessary materials are included.
