Course Overview:

Students will advance their Microsoft Word skills by exploring more advanced topics in Word. Students will create a newsletter that uses columns, drawings, and object linking and embedding. Students will create web pages using Word and learn how to create a website. Students will learn how to use the Workgroups features of Word, how to create Forms, Master Documents and Macros. Students will need a basic understanding of Word to complete this class. Students will need a copy of Office. A 30-day trial version is available.

ATTENTION: This course has a strict start and end date.  When a student enrolls into this course, they will need to work with one of our Training Assessment Managers (TAMs) to choose a start date before they can be enrolled in their course.

Course Outline:

• Students will demonstrate their current skills in Microsoft Word.
• Students will use Microsoft Word to create newsletters and other documents that contain graphics.
• Students will Microsoft Word to create a web page.
• Students will use Microsoft Word to create forms, master documents and macros.
• Students will use VBA to enhance the macros they record in Word.
• Students will create a final project to demonstrate what they have learned in this course.

All necessary materials are included.

• Cable, Fiber, DSL, or LEO Satellite (i.e. Starlink) internet with speeds of at least 10mb/sec download and 5mb/sec upload are recommended for the best experience.

NOTE: While cellular hotspots may allow access to our courses, users may experience connectivity issues by trying to access our learning management system.  This is due to the potential high download and upload latency of cellular connections.   Therefore, it is not recommended that students use a cellular hotspot as their primary way of accessing their courses.
