Course Overview:

Learn to edit Microsoft Word documents like a pro! Students will edit their documents with the spell-checker, thesaurus, and grammar checker. Students will use the proofing tools to track changes in a document. Students will cut, copy and paste text using the clipboard, spike and drag and drop tools. Students will need a copy of Word. A 30-day trial is available.

Course Outline:

• Students will use the spell check to correct spelling errors and the thesaurus to find better words.
• Students will use the Word thesaurus and hyphenation tools to edit their documents.
• Students will configure the AutoCorrect and AutoText features.
• Students will use the Track Changes features to make edits to documents.

All necessary materials are included.

• Cable, Fiber, DSL, or LEO Satellite (i.e. Starlink) internet with speeds of at least 10mb/sec download and 5mb/sec upload are recommended for the best experience.

NOTE: While cellular hotspots may allow access to our courses, users may experience connectivity issues by trying to access our learning management system.  This is due to the potential high download and upload latency of cellular connections.   Therefore, it is not recommended that students use a cellular hotspot as their primary way of accessing their courses.
