Course Overview:

Hydrotherapy is now used in modern healing spas, medical spas, and wellness centers to help clients improve their daily wellness, fitness and appearance. Hydrotherapy is also used in the prevention of major medical problems plus the healing and rehabilitation of injuries. This course guides the student through the history, scientific foundations, and practical applications of spa bodywork, and includes sections on what you should expect to encounter when working in a spa setting. Hydrotherapy, exfoliations, pelotherapy, and thalassotherapy are each covered. Each hydrotherapy protocol featured includes: Rationale, Indications, Contraindications, Equipment and Supplies, Preparation, Procedure, After the Treatment and Hygiene.
