Course Overview:

Got a computer? a microphone? a topic you can talk about? Then you are ready to get started with podcasting! Podcasting allows you to publish audio or video content that you can share with the world. Your listeners can download your message and listen to it on their mobile audio devices. This course will introduce you to the skills you will need to create, edit and publish your audio or video podcast. We will explore tools that are available for creating podcasts, publishing them and how you could make money.

ATTENTION: This course has a strict start and end date.  When a student enrolls into this course, they will need to work with one of our Training Assessment Managers (TAMs) to choose a start date before they can be enrolled in their course.

Course Outline:

  • Students will explore the field of podcasting and create a podcast of their own.
  • Students will plan out their podcast production.
  • Students will create an audio podcast.
  • Students will create a video podcast.
  • Students will publish and publicize their podcasts.
  • Students will create a final project using what they have learned in this class.
