Course Overview:

This course will review the skills necessary to pass the Science portion of the GED. Topics that will be covered include: Biology, Earth and Space Science and Physical Science. The first lesson will help you discover your learning style and help you to set goals and build a plan for studying for the exam. During the bulk of the class you will review the basic skills needed to pass the Science portion of the test. You will take pre-tests that allow you to see where you stand and then work through the practice tests to help build your skills. The final lesson will give you tips for taking the exam.

ATTENTION: This course has a strict start and end date.  When a student enrolls into this course, they will need to work with one of our Training Assessment Managers (TAMs) to choose a start date before they can be enrolled in their course.

Course Outline:

  • Students will take the Science pretest to identify areas in which they need to work.
  • Students will correctly answer questions related to biology and life sciences.
  • Students will correctly answer questions dealing with earth and space science.
  • Students will correctly answer questions related to chemistry.
  • Students will correctly answer questions related to physics.
  • Students will identify ways in which they can prepare and practice for the GED Science exam.
