Course Overview:

This course will review the skills necessary to pass the Reading portion of the GED. Topics that will be covered include: Interpreting Prose Fiction, Interpreting Poetry, Interpreting Drama and Interpreting Prose Nonfiction.

ATTENTION: This course has a strict start and end date.  When a student enrolls into this course, they will need to work with one of our Training Assessment Managers (TAMs) to choose a start date before they can be enrolled in their course.

Course Outline:

• Students will take the GED Reading Pre-Tests to identify where they will need more work.
• Students will correctly answer questions related to interpreting prose fiction.
• Students will correctly answer questions related to interpreting poetry.
• Students will correctly answer questions related to interpreting drama.
• Students will correctly answer questions related to interpeting prose nonfiction.
• Students will identify ways they can practice and prepare for the GED Reading Exam.

All necessary materials are included.

• Cable, Fiber, DSL, or LEO Satellite (i.e. Starlink) internet with speeds of at least 10mb/sec download and 5mb/sec upload are recommended for the best experience.

NOTE: While cellular hotspots may allow access to our courses, users may experience connectivity issues by trying to access our learning management system.  This is due to the potential high download and upload latency of cellular connections.   Therefore, it is not recommended that students use a cellular hotspot as their primary way of accessing their courses.

• Resolution: 1280 x 720 or higher.  1920x1080 resolution is recommended for the best experience.

• Microphone for Webinar or Live Online sessions.
