Course Overview:

Learn the latest tricks in web page design. Students will use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and the layer tags to create page layouts. Students will position objects on the page and combine text and graphics for stylish layouts. Students should have a basic understanding of HTML. No software is required.

ATTENTION:

This course has specific fixed start and end dates. All of the start dates begin on a Wednesday. If you want to take this course, please make certain that you choose a date for a course that has not already started. Please see dates below.

Since textbook(s) are required for this course, students must realize that there needs to be a proper amount of time to allow for the textbook(s) to be shipped to them.  ProTrain does not guarantee that a student’s textbook(s) will arrive by the time a course is scheduled to begin (Normal shipping time can take up to 10 to 15 business days). There are some courses that require a book version, please speak with your Training Assessment Manager to confirm if you need to choose a specific version for this course.

Course Outline:

• Students will identify resources for information about CSS formatting and examples of web sites that use CSS for layout.
• Students will use CSS to format text and fonts.
• Students will use CSS to apply backgrounds, boxes and borders to their pages.
• Students will use CSS for positioning objects on their web pages.

All necessary materials are included.

• Cable, Fiber, DSL, or LEO Satellite (i.e. Starlink) internet with speeds of at least 10mb/sec download and 5mb/sec upload are recommended for the best experience.

NOTE: While cellular hotspots may allow access to our courses, users may experience connectivity issues by trying to access our learning management system.  This is due to the potential high download and upload latency of cellular connections.   Therefore, it is not recommended that students use a cellular hotspot as their primary way of accessing their courses.
