Course Overview:

Visio is a powerful tool for creating diagrams and layouts. Students will learn to use Visio by creating and formatting diagrams and connection shapes. Students will design a project schedule, an organizational chart, an office layout and a network diagram. Students will learn to integreate Visio with the Office applications and to customize templates. Students will need a copy of Visio. A 30-day trial is available.

ATTENTION: This course has a strict start and end date.  When a student enrolls into this course, they will need to work with one of our Training Assessment Managers (TAMs) to choose a start date before they can be enrolled in their course.

Course Outline:

  • Students will identify the parts of the Visio screen and create a basic diagram.
  • Students will apply formatting to shapes on their diagrams and create connections between shapes.
  • Students will use Visio to create project schedules and organizations charts.
  • Students will use Visio to design office spaces and network diagrams.
  • Students will add to the diagram, crop and set the transparency of pictures.
  • Students will use what they have learned to create a Visio drawing.

All necessary materials are included.
