Course Overview:

This course will review the skills necessary to pass the Writing portion of the GED. Topics that will be covered include: Basic English Usage, Sentence Structure, Grammar, and Organization.

ATTENTION: This course has a strict start and end date.  When a student enrolls into this course, they will need to work with one of our Training Assessment Managers (TAMs) to choose a start date before they can be enrolled in their course.

Course Outline:

  • Students will take the Writing pretest to identify areas where they will need to work and then develop a study plan to prepare for the pretest.
  • Students will correctly identify the asnwer to questions involving correct usage and sentence structure.
  • Students will write well-formed sentences and paragraphs in essay form.
  • Students will write essays in preparation for the GED exam.
  • Students will practice critical thinking skills necessary to doing well on the GED exams.
  • Students will review what they have learned and prepare for the GED Writing Exam.

 

All necessary materials are included.
